Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A)

Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification – ROC-A

Before your first solo flight, you must pass an exam which grants you the restricted aeronautical radio operator certificate.
Without this certificate, you are legally not permitted to use the radio on the aircraft.
Although it should be noted when you fly with your flight instructor, they are acting as the Pilot in Command, during the flight if you as a student speak on the radio, it is the flight instructor’s radio license and certificate that is used.
